WWE SmackDown preview, October 30, 2026: Zayn vs. Williams and Green vs. Bella

Both SmackDown champions booked for Crown Jewel have to defend their titles tonight. Sami Zayn puts the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against United States Champion Trick Williams, and Chelsea Green defends the WWE Women's Championship against WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, according to WWE's preview.

The episode is billed as "Danhausen's Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown," a Halloween special. It airs Friday, October 30, at 8 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. CT on USA Network.

Announced matches

• Undisputed WWE Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Trick Williams
• WWE Women's Championship: Chelsea Green (c) vs. Nikki Bella

Why the Zayn match matters for Crown Jewel

Zayn is set to face World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns in a champion versus champion match at WWE Crown Jewel on November 7. WWE's preview notes that Reigns suggested Zayn might not make it to Riyadh still holding the title.

Zayn already survived one surprise defense this week. On Raw he beat Je'Von Evans in an impromptu title match, a win WWE itself called controversial in its Raw results. Our full recap of that night is in the Raw results story.

Williams has a strong case of his own. WWE's match page describes him as a dynamic challenger, and he arrives as a sitting champion.

Green vs. Bella

Green comes in after title defenses against Nia Jax and Roxanne Perez, WWE said. Bella has spent weeks calling Green a "bootleg Nikki Bella." The winner is scheduled to meet Women's World Champion Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel.

What to watch for

If either champion loses tonight, the Crown Jewel card changes, because both Crown Jewel title matches were booked around the current SmackDown champions. RingZine will post full SmackDown results after the show.
