Kevin Owens beats CM Punk in No Holds Barred on SmackDown

WWE said Kevin Owens defeated CM Punk in a No Holds Barred match on SmackDown.

The company posted the finish after promoting the bout live:

"KO PUNCH.

KEVIN OWENS BEATS CM PUNK IN NO HOLDS BARRED!!!"

Earlier in the same show window, WWE announced that Owens versus Punk was underway under No Holds Barred rules. Triple H amplified both the live posts and the result.

Where the rivalry sits

WWE framed the match as the talking phase ending and the weapons coming out. The official result is Owens' win; WWE did not, in those posts, announce a rematch stipulation or a Survivor Series pairing tied directly to the finish. RingZine will watch follow-up promos for the next booked chapter.

Confirmed terms for now: No Holds Barred, SmackDown, Owens over Punk, per WWE's result post.
